My chainsaw model isn’t listed. Do you have chains and bars available?

Chains - we have all chain sizes so will have the right one for your chainsaw. Please Contact Us telling us what numbers are stamped on the drive links on your current chain and how many drive links there are in total and we can then piont you to the chain you need. For more help on finding these details please see our Identify my Chain page.

Bars - these may also be available so please Contact Us with the make and model of your chainsaw and what bar length you'd like.

How do I know what length bar and chain I have?

The size of the bar and chain on your saw is actually just the cutting capacity of your bar, so a 16" bar and chain means you can cut about 16" of wood. You don't measure the whole length of a bar or chain from end to end.

How can I identify what chain I have?

The easiest way to identify your chain is to look at the numbers stamped on your drive links which will tell you the chain type. You then need to count how many drive links there are in total to ensure you buy the right length. Please see our Identify My Chain page for more details. If you don't have an old chain then please Contact Us with the make and model of your chainsaw and the bar length then we can try to identify the chain you need.

I am looking for an item but can’t see it on your website. Can you help?

We are adding new products to our website all the time, but if you can't see what you want we may be able to get it in for you. Please Contact Us with details of what you would like and we will help further.

Will this chain or bar I have seen on your website fit on my chainsaw?

If you have found the chain or bar by using our Select Your Chainsaw feature, you have counted your drive links and you know your bar length (this is the cutting capacity only) then yes it will fit on your chainsaw.

When you have found a chain or bar without using our Select Your Chainsaw feature then we would recommend checking there first as this will take you to the right product. If your chainsaw isn't listed then please see our Identify My Chain page to find the right chain or Contact Us to check which is the right bar for your chainsaw.

Your chain code doesn't have a letter(s) at the end but mine does (E, X, G, XMA, etc). Is it the same chain?

As long as the rest of the code is the same then yes it is the same chain. A letter or letters at the end are sometimes used by Oregon but they don't make any difference to the chain itself. For example the 90PX056 chain that we sell is exactly the same as a 90PX056E,  90PX056X, 90PX056G & 90PX056XMA.

What is the difference between a full chisel and a semi chisel chain?

A full chisel chainsaw chain has square cornered cutters that cut quickly and aggressively, making it ideal for fast, clean cuts in softer wood. However, it dulls more easily, especially when cutting in dirtier or gritty conditions. In contrast, a semi chisel chain features rounded corner cutters that cut more slowly but stay sharper longer whilst handling debris and tougher conditions better. They are also easier to sharpen than full chisel chains.This makes semi chisel chains a good choice for cutting dirty, dry or harder wood and for users who prefer durability and ease of maintenance over speed.

Will I receive order confirmation and dispatch emails?

Yes these emails are automatically sent to your email address when you place an order and when we dispatch your oder. If you haven’t received an order confirmation email within 24 hours, please check your spam or junk folder first and if it isn't there then please Contact Us and we will help further.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following debit and credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, Maestro, Diners Club and Discover. We also accept payment by PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Can I change my order?

If you contact us straight away and your order hasn't been dispatched yet then we should be able to make changes. If you have received a dispatch confirmation email then unfortunately it is too late to make any alterations, but you can return the item(s) to us for exchange or refund.

How quickly will you dispatch my order?

We dispatch on the same working day all orders that are placed before 2.30pm. Orders placed after this time are dispatched the next working day (this excludes bank weekends and holidays).

How much do you charge for postage?

We offer FREE delivery on all our items, except when shipping to the Channel Islands by courier where we have to make a small additional charge. This applies to guide bars that are 24" and over, Bench Grinders and Pro Forestry Kkits.

When will my order be delivered?

Most orders will be sent by Royal Mail Tracked 48 which has an estimated delivery time of 2-3 working days. Guide bars that are 24" and over, Bench Grinders, Pro Forestry Kits and larger  orders with multiple items will be sent by DPD or Parcelforce courier on a 48 hour service. Due to courier collection times, they may be dispatched the next working day after the order is placed but they will then be upgraded to a next working day delivery service. Please also note that delivery times are not guaranteed delivery times.

Please allow an extra 2 days of delivery time to more remote areas, to the Scottish Highlands and Islands. Extra delivery time also needs to be allowed when the weather is particularly bad.

Can I track my order?

Yes, all orders can be tracked and you will receive the tracking number in the dispatch confirmation email which is sent when your order is shipped.

Do you ship outside of the UK?

Sorry but we do not ship outside of the UK, nor to the Isles of Scilly or the Orkney Islands, but we do ship to the Channel Islands.

How do I return an item for exchange or refund?

You can return an item to us for exchange or refund up to 365 days after delivery with the postage cost being at your expense - please ensure you obtain a Proof of Postage. We ask that the item is returned to us in the same condition as when you received it - clean, unused and in its original packaging with all tags and labels attached. Please Contact Us to tell us you need to return an item and we will assist further.

When you return the item(s) back to us please include a copy of the sales receipt and a note on it telling us if you would like an exchange or refund. If you would like an exchange then please also tell us what you would like instead.

Can I cancel my order and get a refund?

If you contact us straight away and your order hasn't been dispatched yet then we should be able to cancel your order and refund you straight away. 

If we have already dispatched your order then under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of delivery of the goods. This is known as the ‘cooling-off’ period. The cost to return your order is to be met by you and the goods remain your responsibility until they reach us. We therefore recommend that you obtain a proof of postage and ensure that there is adequate compensation for loss provided.

Upon receipt of your order we will refund you straight away and the money will go back into the account that you paid with.
