18" M21LPX DuraCut Chain .325" x .058" (1.5) with 72 Drive Links

(Drive links are the parts of the chain that sit in the bar groove - please count them carefully.)

This M21LPX072 chain fits on many, but not all, chainsaw models that have an 18" guide bar - please ask if you are unsure whether it will fit your chainsaw. Also note that a bar's length is just its approximate cutting capacity, it is not measured from end to end.

  • Durable, Longer Lasting Chain for Cutting in Dirtier, Tougher Conditions
  • Faster Cutting Full Chisel Cutters
  • Low Kickback Safety Feature
  • Top Plate Filing Indicators for Easier Accurate Sharpening
  • Blued Cutters for Protection Against Corrosion
  • LubriTec Oiling System for Smoothness and Longer Life
  • Needs a 3/16" File for Sharpening (not included)

The Oregon DuraCut M21LPX chainsaw chain (previously called MultiCut) is a heavy duty chain designed for longer lasting use and in tougher conditions including railway sleepers and burnt or dirty wood. An advanced plating process puts extra layers of chrome on the cutters making it last up to 3 times longer than standard Type 21 chains.

This chain has a more aggressive cutting edge and forgiving sharpening angle for easier maintenance with standard files - sharpening with a diamond disc isn't needed for these chains, unlike tungsten tipped ones. The chain also benefits from Oregon's LubriTec oiling system to keep it running smoothly and help ensure a longer lifespan.

This M21LPX072 chain is equivalent to the M21LPX072E, M21LPX072G & M21LPX072X as letters at the end of the code are no longer used.
