The Oregon 27RA full skip ripping chain features Oregon's innovative skip-tooth sequence with an extra drive link between the cutters which have been specially made with a 10° angle for cutting along the grain of the wood when planking. This semi chisel chain provides improved chip clearance, reducing the risk of clogging or binding in deep cuts. It gives a smoother cut when milling and its lighter weight lowers the load on the saw to help maintain speed. The chain is designed for making planks and dimensional boards from large pieces of timber and is recommended for use on chain type sawmills and not for handheld use. It also benefits from Oregon's LubriTec oiling system to keep it running smoothly and help ensure a longer lifespan.
